The James Joyce Connection (2)

I am getting more involved with Finnegan’s Wake. I’m just a guy reading the book--those are my credentials. A lot of people have trouble reading it; so, I am going to put some Bardic Astronomy entries here as I am reading that may be helpful to others.

I have also started reading Joseph Campbell’s Skeleton Key to Finnegan’s Wake. Because some believe that Giambattista Vico’s cyclic view of old science and culture influenced Joyce, I ordered Penguin’s version of Vico’s The New Science. For now, I plan to look through The New Science just enough to get an idea of Vico’s thoughts.

I should first here go back to Joyce’s Ulysses while I re-read the first chapter of “Finnegan” so that the Bardic Astronomy aspect of Joyce’s earlier work gets clarified.

Ulysses vs. Odyssey

Homer’s Odyssey begins with Telemachus inquiring about his father and meeting Helen--probably the constellation Canis Major--then it switches in its second part to Odysseus and his return-trip past the Cyclops--probably the constellation Cetus--to Ithaca, then moves to a third part where Odysseus and Telemachus conspire to throw out the usurpers and then there is a last part where the usurpers are actually destroyed. Sagittarius is Odysseus shooting arrows toward Ursa Major and Ursa Minor which are probably the last two axe heads in the last part‘s contest. Joyce’s Ulysses is mainly a trip across Dublin. In the Odyssey, the path of the ship is the river constellation Eridanus. In Ulysses the path across Dublin is also Eridanus. We can use this constellation to get our bearings in both works.

The Odyssey went completely around the zodiac using the methods of Bardic Astronomy I have described. In Ulysses, Joyce used only the parts of the Odyssey from Gemini/Taurus to Pisces/Aquarius to tell his own story related to that part of the sky. He was pointing us to the old four-fold division of storytelling and the sky and the way it was used by the ancients. This explicitly describes the main difference between Joyce’s Ulysses and Homer’s Odyssey. The Odyssey was a complete four part bardic story but Ulysses is the second part of a story that never had its fourth part written. Joyce was planning HIS four part adventure but died after writing the third part, Finnegan’s Wake.

The Cosmic Egg

In movies and stories like Indiana Jones or in A Journey to the Center of the Earth there is sometimes a motif of an adventurer that is in a cave when a big rock starts rolling down the path behind the hero. The hero runs for his life and at the last moment jumps out of the way while the rock flies past and smashes to pieces against the cave wall. This rock can be the rock that Sisyphus keeps pushing in his torture or the Cosmic Egg rolling down from the Cosmos above. The egg rolls down the path of the river constellation Eridanus too. It hits the stone of south polar precession at (and below) Pisces/Aquarius. This is the old story of the Cosmic Egg. The cosmic egg rolls down from Gemini/Taurus to Pisces/Aquarius. A reference in the early part of Finnegan’s Wake to “Humpty Dumpty” is about this cosmic egg that smashes open at Pisces/Aquarius. Noah’s Ark makes its journey from Gemini/Taurus to Pisces/Aquarius also. The Ark has genetic material in it. Joyce’s earlier book Ulysses had genetic material at Pisces/Aquarius. The Ark has two of each animal. When the Ark lands, this genetic material starts to come out and grow. First there is chaos like the first sentence in Finnegan’s Wake then the two giraffs find each other and then the bull finds the cow and then things start to fit together into a slightly more coherent state. Soon in Finnegan’s Wake we get Shawn, Shem and Issy. The first decanate of Aquarius is Cygnus (the Swan) but in stories it can also be a stork bringing a child. In the story of Perseus and Andromeda, Perseus and Andromeda get together after Pisces/Aquarius and have a child named “Shah” which could have been brought by a stork--the Cygnus constellation. This child was the first of the “Shahs of Iran.”

Water then Air

In a human birth, the baby has its lungs full of watery fluid. It coughs out the water and starts breathing. It then starts eating and growing. In the first chapter of "Finnegan" the reader is starved for air. One is reading words but there is no spirit.

                                                             Beowulf

In this area of the sky, just after Pisces/Aquarius, Beowulf has just cut the head off of Grindl’s mother. The bent over Aquarius holding a jug is Beowulf severing the head of Grindl’s mother. This takes place in the grotto--the circle of constellations that never rise (below Pisces/Aquarius). He finds the body of Grindl too and cuts its head off. Beowulf then swims up from the grotto under Pisces/Aquarius. Beowulf emerges from the water later at the decanate Hercules (in terms of the year, around the fall equinox of Sept 21).  He has crossed the spirit boundary of the Milky Way and is now on the spiritual or cold or "yin" part of the year.

The Milky Way between Sagittarius and Scorpio is the water boundary in the Beowulf story and the constellation Hercules is Beowulf climbing out of the water. Today’s date is September 22. Do you feel the spirit in the year returning? It is like a big fresh breath of air at this time of the year. Its early, but Spirit has returned.

The quarters of the sky I give the following correspondences.

Water puts out a fire. You heat the water and it turns to a gas (air). At the end of the year it freezes and becomes a solid (ice). You melt the ice with fire and start over again.

Similarly at the end of Finnegan's Wake HCE and ALP are waiting for the sunrise at Sagittarius/Scorpio. They are not waiting for the return of some material "Sun God" of Saturn but for Sol or Soul, the spiritual part of the day, month, year, life, Great Year or Cosmos.

When reading old adventure stories, there are often few references to the fish decanates near and just past Pisces/Aquarius because it is hard to fit a fish story into an adventure story. The medieval “Fisher Kings” were at Pisces/Aquarius. Their castle is the world tree. You go in and upstairs find the family--perhaps Guenevere and the Grail--Virgo and Crater (the Cup) are up the ladder on the other (spiritual) side of the world tree. Meanwhile the Fisher King is the“uber-materialist” at Pisces/Aquarius.

After the resurrection of Finnegan at Pisces/Aquarius, one could say that one of the first decanates that Joyce uses (if he is consciously using them) is the Southern Fish. This is the confusing language in the beginning. People liken the Finnegan’s Wake story to a dream. The fish is swimming around under water. It is like a subconscious activity. A little later in the story one gets to the Dolphin decanate. This is the fish that breathes real air. It periodically swims to the surface and breathes air. It can even swim up to the surface fast enough to jump out of the water and get a look at the water paradigm--the matrix.



The James Joyce Connection (1)



I finished “Portrait” fifteen years ago, completed Ulysses about four months ago and soon started reading Finnegan's Wake. There is clearly a Bardic Astronomy connection to all three books. After two chapters of “Finnegan” and reading into a few commentaries like Campbell’s Skeleton Key to Finnegan’s Wake I can begin to see what Joyce is doing with it. I don’t have the cultural and linguistic abilities to just sit down and read “Finnegan” from cover to cover. It is going to take a long time to get through it. Here, I’m giving the Bardic Astronomy connection to the story‘s beginning.

James Joyce is one of the greatest literary masters ever to have lived on the face of the earth. Near the end of his life he spent much of his time writing what seems to be gibberish. This was a major part of the humor of his last work, Finnegan‘s Wake. He had such excess capacity that he could apparently put it to no useful purpose better than thwarting those who could not or would not climb the snowy peaks on which he lived. He’s sort of a “good man gone bad” that manages to redeem himself in the end. He’s like a hermit, all one has to do is finally get up there with him and look at the view.

Bishop James Ussher deduced around 1654 that the first day of creation began on the nightfall preceding Sunday, October 23, 4004 BC. This is a time horizon of about 6,000 years. Joyce was looking back and forward at least twice this amount. Joyce’s time horizons were probably related to the Great Year. Joyce was planning a fourth work after Finnegan’s Wake but he died soon after completing “Finnegan.” This cut his dream short. We are left with a classic story like the Illiad or Odyssey but a story in which the usurpers are never completely thrown out. The story we are left with consists of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses, and Finnegan’s Wake taken together. My commentary here is limited to those three works.

If you are reading Finnegan’s Wake then expect to be going around to different sources, suffering and struggling for each little shred of understanding. It’s a rocky climb. No human being can read that strange book without the help of others and spending lots of time. Even the seemingly mundane plot has been painstakingly extracted by persons over generous periods of study. The “meat” of the work appears to be to grasp a relatively small number of motifs (perhaps ten or twenty) and how they relate to A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses and classic literature in general.

There are commentaries on the cultural and linguistic parts of Finnegan‘s Wake. Here I will attempt to present a few aspects of the “Bardic Astronomy” connection. The bards thought in symbols and I may be able to diagram most of this.

The ancients thought in cycles. The year is a cycle that can be presented by drawing a circle. The year has the four seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Harmony with the seasons was very important to the ancients.

It was important for them to have good stories about each of the four seasons. A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is a winter story, Ulysses is a spring story and Finnegan’s Wake is a summer story. Joyce’s missing last work was to be a “fall” story. James Joyce was a big fan of Dante Alighieri and this is the same structure of four of Dante’s works: La Vita Nuova, Inferno, Pergatorio and the Paradiso. Finnegan’s Wake corresponds with Dante’s Pergatorio.

Let me say at the very beginning that one stays in purgatory until one’s sins are washed away. This is why Finnegan’s Wake begins half way through the same sentence that ends it. A person stays in that mode of life--in early adulthood--until one understands the spiritual nature of the world. One stays in this purgatory until one sees the self and others as spirits.

Bardic literature uses or follows the ancient methods of the bards. Joyce’s works use the same framework as the most ancient stories. Before writing, the bards would go around the sky and use constellations and parts of old astronomy as “memory jogs” to help in remembering their stories. Joyce appears not to use the constellations so much as follow the thresholds, boundaries and underlying astronomical framework of the old stories. Because writing has been invented one is now free to do this and move away from using the constellations. Homer crafted the Odyssey before writing and constellation motifs can be found in the modern written versions that can lead one back to the old methods of remembering the story. Joyce writes like the ancient bards but without the constellational motifs. This ability to use the old framework came from Joyce reading many old stories and knowing old cosmology. This is also why it takes a lot of background to understand James Joyce.

Ancient bardic stories that went from Virgo/Leo past Gemini/Taurus and then on to Pisces/Aquarius were old cosmology. The world around us was thought to be about half way through its life cycle. In most of these stories, there was some great spirit that died or was killed and the spirit’s carcass became the world. The stories with death in them postulated “dead matter.” Other stories presented alternate cosmologies and left the cosmos asleep or imprisoned at Pisces/Aquarius. Matter in these cosmologies was like “mother earth” and thought to be still alive but somehow dormant. Either way, because we grew up out of this cosmological being or it‘s carcass, we were thought to inherit it’s qualities. The dead or dormant cosmos was thought to be like our father or mother. The death and resurrection in the beginning of Finnegan’s Wake is a reference to old cosmology.

In Finnegan’s Wake, Finnegan the hod carrier climbs up a ladder to do some work on a castle. The ladder is the World Tree. He falls down the ladder and hits his head. The people think he’s dead. His wife puts his body out to “feed the people” and for a wake. During the wake there is an argument and some whiskey gets splashed on Finnegan and he returns to life. Soon after this in the story, Finnegan is replaced with HCE (Here Comes Everybody) otherwise known as Humbolt C. Earwicker. HCE is an ordinary man like Horus is the ordinary man version of the cosmos Osiris. Finnegan was the Cosmos and HCE his resurrected son, like an Adam. The death of Osiris occurs in this same area (Pisces/Aquarius) as does the death of Ishtar and others. The ladder that Finnegan climbs is the Djed Pillar or World Tree that grew out of Osiris’s coffin.

Early adulthood is when people have children and work toward their own spiritual destiny. Joyce’s Adam and Eve story (Finnegan’s Wake) tells us the original Adam and Eve story from the bible took place after a death and resurrection. Joyce is helping us reconstruct some very old mythology. Finnegan's Wake is a modern Adam and Eve story written by an authentic bard. Adam and Eve in this story are HCE and his wife ALP. They have two sons Shem and Shaun and a daughter Issy.

Through inheritance HCE and his descendants are going to be like HCE’s predecessor; the Cosmos Finnegan. What do we know about Finnegan? From his friends and work we know he was a hard drinking, hard working, rowdy and fun loving man. Are there other clues about what Joyce thinks about the nature of the Cosmos? Yes! They are in his previous book, Ulysses. Ulysses ends with a similar sort of cosmological death and resurrection.

Forgive me everyone for I’m going to try and explain what this madman was thinking. Children please leave the room. The world tree at the end of Ulysses was the fireworks that entertained Leopold Bloom in his flirting with Gerty McDowell. A sexual climax is known as a “petite morte.” After this little death below the world tree, the resurrection is at the hospital in the next scene with the babies. There’s an old Egyptian myth about Atum, masturbating the world into existence. Joyce is telling us that his way of viewing this old Egyptian myth is like the episode with Leopold and Gerty in the park. Joyce places this variation of cosmology in the old bardic scheme. Again he is helping us to reconstruct some very old mythology while telling a bizarre and entertaining story. Joyce is implying that our (or perhaps HIS) cosmological ancestor is like a Finnegan or a Leopold Bloom!


Earlier I wrote: “The essence of the work is to grasp a relatively small number of motifs and how they relate to A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses“ and classic literature in general.” The placing of the Adam and Eve story in the 3rd quarter of the sky and placing the cosmology just described at Pisces/Aquarius are examples of this. Joyce’s ideas are madly humorous and very profound.

A Second Example

The river constellation Eridanus is Ishtar’s path down into the underworld to visit her sister. When the spiritual time of the year, winter, was over (around Easter) Ishtar entered a cave to visit her sister. The Auriga constellation looks like a cave. There were gatekeepers within the cave and each time she went to a lower level, the gatekeeper demanded that Ishtar remove an article of clothing. When she finally got to her sister, her sister killed her and Ishtar became “naked earth.”

In the Odyssey, Odysseus has an adventure where he encounters the sirens. The sirens are usually portrayed as being naked. Here is Ulysses and the Sirens by Herbert James Draper.

The Odyssey was from old bardic times when the constellations were still used to help remember stories. Here a plate that shows the way it was remembered.



My point is that there is a nakedness motif identified with Pisces/Aquarius that goes back to the ancient world. The Jesus story also goes back into the ancient world. The path Jesus took when carrying his cross was also Eridanus, “The River.” This path ends at Pisces/Aquarius where he was crucified. He is today usually portrayed as having a cloth covering himself but this was changed in modern times to fit our modern moral ideas about nudity.

A significant part of Finnegan’s Wake is that early in the story HCE was rumored to have exposed himself in a park to two young women. The name of the place was called Phoenix Park. The exposure after the death and resurrection is an unmistakable bardic reference. By including this James Joyce is in harmony with the ancient stories like The Odyssey and the Ishtar story.

Earlier I wrote: “The essence of the work is to grasp a relatively small number of motifs and how they relate to A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses and classic literature in general.” The nakedness reference is one of these motifs included by Joyce because he was aware of very ancient cosmology.



The Djed Pillar and The Wicker Man

The following material is a study using input from two DVDs; The Wicker Man and Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove. Earlier, I suggested that old cosmological stories follow the zodiacal and decanate constellations from the Sphinx down to the Dagon. The cosmos has only completed half of its life at Pisces/Aquarius. At the Bohemian Grove the elites perform a type of burning man ceremony that is essentially old cosmology. It is old Dagon cosmology. It is actually why the church used to burn heathens and witches at the stake--it was their original cosmology. In the Bohemian Grove ritual from Alex Jones’s Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove, Care gets executed by the local version of Set. Such betrayal scenes are isomorphs of the transition between early childhood to adolescence. At the end of early childhood (the first quarter of life), Mind betrays Heart and Consciousness watches. Mind usually has an older man as a correspondent. Heart usually has a young girl or in later times a male hero as a correspondent. Consciousness can probably have either gender as a correspondent. In ancient times Heart was symbolized by a young girl. Mind was symbolized by an older man. This still holds true in Satanic rituals. A young girl is often betrayed in Satanic rituals by an older male, possibly her father, through ritual rape or worse. The Satanic priest’s wife might even watch. Here, I plan to show how The Wicker Man movie follows the constellations from the Sphinx of Virgo/Leo to the Dagon of Pisces/Aquarius. In this movie the man is betrayed by (his daughter) the young girl and the woman watches. They have switched things around a bit to confuse us. The Wicker Man movie should properly have had the man betray the young girl while the woman watches to fit the old correspondences better. I’ll have to return to this at some of the crucial moments.

We are starting at the top left side of the Djed Pillar and mapping The Wicker Man ritual motifs from the movie onto the old order of the constellations. The left side of the tree moving down is the “coming into existence” side--so as cosmology, we will go from the Raven down to the Ring. If you can, try to find a motif in the movie fitting a zodiacal or decanate constellation I may have missed or left out.

1. Raven
I did not see a raven in The Wicker Man. It might be hidden in a close-up or a costume. Imagine the movie ritual beginning with a raven flying out of the woods. Cosmological stories often follow the constellations closely while longer stories use more creative strategies like repeating sections of the sky or using the same constellation as different motifs.



2. Crater
Next we see some members of a festive crowd marching through the forest. They are dressed in costumes and drinking. One person drinking is drinking from the cup constellation, Crater. One of the crowd’s costumes might be that of the Lion constellation, Leo.

3. Hydra
The festive crew snakes through the forest and when they get to the grove they begin to split apart. They split at the front of the line into three and then everyone else gathers round the three.

This gathering around is often symbolized by the Cancer constellation. Cancer is also, for example, the three wise men arriving around the baby Jesus.

In The Wicker Man they symbolized the Beehive Nebula as the bees inside the round cage they put on the Nicolas Cage character’s head. Cancer was the cage. The betrayal has begun. Note the bee costume below. This is a stray bee buzzing around outside the cage of Cancer.

                       

4. Argos

Argos is the ship constellation. In the movie it is a “Death Boat” motif. It was the cloth “cot” on which he was carried.

5. Ursa Major and 6. Ursa Minor

Both Ursa Major and Ursa Minor look like a hip or leg. In the movie both of the victim’s legs are broken.

Do you see how they are holding him down? This is a subtle reference to the Orion constellation. The Orion constellation is Christ, Siegfried, Osiris etc.. All are heros similarly fully broken.

7. Canis Minor 8. Canis Major 9. Lepus
These are the characters that have been tampered with in the movie to confuse us. Canis Major is usually the watcher, Lepus is usually the betrayer and Orion is usually the one betrayed.

Instead of the horned male (Lepus) being the betrayer they have made a little girl (Canis Minor) the betrayer.
Canis Minor is the “little dog“--possibly offspring (in this case daughter) of the “big dog.” In stories I have never seen Canis Minor being a betrayer, Dogs are known for fidelity, they are sometimes called “Fido.” They are trusted by the Orion character. Canis Minor is usually a small trusted relative or pet of the person getting betrayed. Canis Minor could very well be a second watcher.

In the movie we actually have a “horned one” doing the betraying work of Lepus because they would have had trouble skipping it. Here he is:

10. Auriga

10. Auriga is either a cave, a rabbit hole or some sort of close helper of the betrayer. .

11. Eridanus

Eridanus is usually the path of the betrayed to his or her death. It could be Jesus carrying his cross. It could be Osiris floating down the Nile or Siegfried on his Rhine journey. The story of Noah’s Ark is cosmology. Eridanus is the path of Noah’s Ark from Gemini/Taurus to Pisces/Aquarius. This trip takes 40 days. The spring equinox will change 40 days between Gemini/Taurus and Pisces/Aquarius. The current spring equinox is March 21. 10 more days gets us to March 31. 30 more days gets us to April 30 (Walpurgisnacht), the spring equinox three zodiacal ages before 2001, 4479 BC.

12. Orion

Orion is often the one getting betrayed or the hero. In The Wicker Man it is the Nicolas Cage character. In mythology Orion is Osiris, Jesus and others.

One of Orion’s appendages is across the Milky Way just as Cage’s leg is shown here across the tree logs.

13. Perseus

Perseus is often a successful hero. The constellation can also be an invisibility cloak or cape. I did not recognize a clear Perseus motif in the movie parade and betrayal. I believe some of the people in the ritual wearing capes are the Perseus motif.

14. Cetus is a big monster, opponent or big thing. In the story of Osiris the Cetus constellation is Osiris floating past the stone Sphinx. In The Wicker Man it is when Cage sees the large humanoid structure in the distance. In the Odyssey it was the Cyclops substory. In Dante’s Inferno it was the flying beast Geryon. I think it is when Jesus had his doubts about his fate.

15. Cassiopea and 16. Cepheus

Cassiopia and Cepheus in stories are often two church bureaucrats or elders. At least one of the two is some kind of usurper. In the Odyssey the two were Odysseus and Circe. We get the word Church from Circe. Below is the Cassiopea character from The Wicker Man. There is no definite Cepheus in the movie; so I think the woman shown along side this Cassiopea is her current squeeze--a female version of Cepheus. The colors should be red (Mars) and/or black(Saturn) not white(Sol) and blue(Moon). White and blue are colors of consciousness and heart at the other end of the pillar.

                    

 17. Andromeda

In The Wicker Man, the little girl is both the Canis Minor and Andromeda constellations. The Andromeda constellation usually refers to compassion constrained but here they have made her a killer.

                        

The Andromeda constellation is near the bottom of the world tree near Pisces/Aquarius and consequently also at the bottom of the Ankh. This motif is shown below. She (Andromeda) is the last bit of “Yin” on the side of “Yang.” She (Andromeda) is released near Pisces/Aquarius.

18. Ring

Here is how the Ring asterism relates to Andromeda:

The Ring is a bright spot on one of the appendages of Andromeda. It is the fetter that binds Andromeda to the square rock of Pegasus. The fire when the little girl lights the large structure is this ring asterism.

                         

The Ring was also a compass on an appendage of Andromeda in the recent The Golden Compass movie.

Cosmology and the Djed Pillar

Above is a dead bird. The bird fell from the world of spirit. In the carcass one can see animalcules, micro organisms, and bugs. A spirit died, fell to earth and the carcass became the mother-world for us animalcules micro organisms and bugs and people. This is an example of the older type cosmology, Sphinx cosmology. In it, we are each and all the resurrected spirit. We are all like a phoenix coming back to life.

In the old sky stories and on the Dendera stone (that Napoleon “borrowed” from the temple of Hathor in Heliopolis and which is now in the Louvre) spirit resurrections take place in stories using the constellations for memory “jogs” at or near Pisces/Aquarius, across from their spirit beginning at the Sphinx. The Phoenix constellation for example is just “below” Pisces/Aquarius. Just as the Jesus story has its resurrection near isces/Aquarius so too do others like the Phoenix.

Resurrection in old stories occurred at or near Pisces/Aquarius and the beginnings of these stories were at Virgo/Leo. The river constellation Eridanus above can be seen leading to the Phoenix. Osiris floated down the Nile river and Jesus was compelled to carry his cross on such a path. The Phoenix burned up and fell in the path of Eridanus. The stories began in the world of spirit at the Sphinx. If they are about cosmology alone they end on the material side of the Dendera stone near Pisces/Aquarius. This is because the cosmos has not yet completed its life cycle. If the stories are about anything else, things that HAVE completed their life cycles, the stories continue on back to Virgo/Leo, and end at the Sphinx. The cosmos completed a half cycle--that of coming into existence.

We can make a ladder out of it, one side of the ladder has the path from spirit to matter and the other side of the ladder has the path from matter back to spirit. This is called Jacob’s Ladder. Jacob saw angels coming down one side and going up the other. Children descend from spirit into the world on one side of the ladder and adults ascend from material up to spirit on the other side of the ladder. Spirit and matter are at the opposing ends of the ladder.
 

The two towers above is a “hidden symbol “ of Jacob’s Ladder. Who does one hope to find at the church above?

The Pope

 
Why does the Pope wear a fish-hat? We need to look at the major and minor axis of the galaxy mapped onto the zodiac.

The major and minor axis of the galaxy mapped onto the zodiac divides it into four parts. They are the seasons of the Great Year. The ancient symbol for these four CYCLICAL TIME PERIODS was the Cherub.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Cherub

The Cherub has the head of a man, the hooves of a bull, the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle. They are the four constellations circled below. The people with the cherub idea thought the Scorpio constellation looked like an eagle. They also thought the Aquarius constellation looked like a man. The Cherub divides the zodiac and the other (decanate) constellations into four parts. It divides the zodiac and decanate constellations into time periods like the seasons. It divides the Great Year into time periods like the seasons. It divides life stories told with the constellations into time periods like the seasons. Each time period begins with one of the composite symbols of the cherub. We are today in the three-age time period starting with Aquarius, beginning the third quarter of the Great Year. From now on in the civilization, our material identification will be going out of existence.

The people with the cherub idea provide the ancient precedent that the constellation Aquarius was thought by some to be a “Man.” There is an ancient fish-man symbol called the Dagon.

Dagon

The Dagon is the old symbol for Pisces/Aquarius, the opposer of the Sphinx.

The Pope is the symbolic opposer of the Sphinx. The Pope has a different cosmology. The Sphinx and Dagon approaches to life are polar opposites. This knowledge is from the ancient world and has been appropriated and hidden by those who own and rule our world. I may be destroyed for telling this story. If Rachel Corrie can stand in front of a bulldozer, I can write this blog. The Sphinx represents the sacred here on earth. In the Sphinx view we are EACH and ALL like the earlier described Phoenix, the same spirit resurrected. We share the spirit. The spirit is sacred. The shared spirit is called Sol or Soul. In contrast, the Dagon represents the sacred AWAY somewhere. We are all like stones rejected by the builder, Set. Like the 30 pieces of silver of Judas, where did the wealth of the current world regime come from? It comes from a betrayal during the last apocalypse. When did this betrayal occur? Betrayals in sky stories occur near Gemini/Taurus. Three ages before 9-11, on the spring equinox, the sky was as below: Notice how both constellations and planets are at Gemini/Taurus.

The betrayal occurred on the last apocalypse, three zodiacal ages before 2001. The betrayal was recently reenacted and renewed between the ages of Pisces and Aquarius by the current rulers of the world on 9-11.

Long ago, Saturn betrayed Soul, which we now call “the Sun,” and the Moon watched. Set (Lepus) betrayed Osiris (Orion) and Isis (Canis Major) watched. The old world changed from spirit to material on that old date celebrated now as “Walpurgisnacht.” The old world changed from feminine to masculine. The old world changed from Sphinx to Dagon. The modern Walpurgisnacht holiday is the date of the spring equinox that marked the change--of the last apocalypse! This is Satanism before Christianity and before writing! The old name for it was “Saturnism.” Saturn opposes Soul or Sol (called by Saturnists “Sun”) on Jacob’s Ladder. The order of the planets I use below comes from the days of the week. The fourth step on the ladder is the Milky Way boundary between Material and Spiritual sides.

Jacob’s Ladder is a ladder from material to spirit, from betrayal to compassion. It climbs up the rotational axis of the Milky Way galaxy. Each planet has a color, the ladder is the “rainbow bridge” of the Odinists and the steps are the chakras of the Hindus. One may fly on an eagle sideways back to childhood across each step and purge toxic formative influences and then climb up another step. This flying into the past and returning is why Mercury or Change has wings on his shoes. Remember there was an eagle at Scorpio. The biggest change takes place at the 4th step. It is the change from material identification to spiritual identification.

9-11 was the breaking (by sympathetic magic) of the ladder-like return path from mind at Pisces/Aquarius to heart at Virgo/Leo. Because they have broken the symbolic path to spirit with airplanes we are now thought to be magically trapped in their materialism. This was done by the devotees of the mind in order to consolidate and demonstrate their power. They have in symbols destroyed the way to the heart. This was also done “for” them as little children. It is why Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Glen Beck have compassion holes where their hearts should be. Minotaurs eat children and the Minotaur is a symbol for the three zodiacal age periods of Taurus, Aries and Pisces. As children these persons were eaten by the Minotaur. The Minotaur is Bull+Man or Taurus+Aquarius. They have gained the whole world but lost their souls. All are millionaire mouthpiece enemies of compassion and “Social Justice.”

The world of soul fell a long time ago during “The Mists of Avalon”--when the sun during the spring equinox was crossing the mists of the Milky Way (of Gemini/Taurus).

There is a stone and a grotto or cave below Pisces/Aquarius. The cave or grotto is the circle of stars that never rise. The stone is the southern circle of precession of the Earth’s rotational axis. Jacob slept with his head on this stone. Jesus like Osiris moved it aside and emerged from the cave or grotto. This subject is called Bardic Astronomy.

Above there is an opposite circle of constellations that never “set” or get betrayed at the top of our ladder or world tree. There is a room and a hole above Virgo/Leo. The room is the circle of stars that never set. The hole is the circle of precession of the Earth’s rotational axis. Within this “hole” of spirit is the dragon constellation.

 

We can now go back to another of Jacob’s Ladders and put the hole, room, stone and grotto in:

 

The whole scheme is the World Tree or Djed Pillar. Remember, the stories are told with the 36 decanates or “prince” constellations and the zodiacal constellations AND the boundaries of the quarters, the stone, the grotto, the Ankh, etc. Below are the constellations on the Djed pillar: The two sides, the side of coming into existence and the side of going out of existence are also the “Pillars of Atlantis” and the two sides together are the “Hall of Records” as Cayce correctly said, below the Sphinx.

The two sides are found in other places in our culture. The Elites teach their children by explaining the various symbols found in the culture. At any one time, half the story is visible.

The Ankh uses a yoni for the feminine side and a lingam for the masculine side and includes the Milky Way boundary.

Just as below the world tree there is a stone and a grotto, above the Ankh is a room (the circle of stars that never set) and within it a Hole (the circle of north polar precession) of spiritual anti-matter or lets say a crown with a missing a gem. This is where spirit resides. Here is the Egyptian glyph:

The Holy Grail is also upstairs in the room by Virgo/Leo, it is the second decanate of Leo. The important thing is that spirit is at the top, or “up.”
 
The two opposites can be held apart by the “story in the stars” Ankh-person. Below is Shu holding up the sky like Atlas in this way. Geb is matter, Nut is spirit. The graphic comes from an Acharya S. web page--she appears to have no knowledge the constellations were used as memory jogs in the bardic system. I seem to be the only one on the face of the earth with either the courage or the foolishness to present such ideas. I am Anubis resurrecting Osiris as Horus, the singular head of a spiritual hydra. Human beings are not robots and they are not going to become robots.

The Ankh is also the story Odysseus when he has fastened himself to the mast of his ship--his crew having their ears plugged with bees wax. At the bottom of the Ankh, are the two constellations Andromeda and Pegasus. The square of Pegasus is the rock to which Andromeda is chained. In the Odyssey story Andromeda is a siren and Pegasus is one of the rocks that crash the ships. Odysseus was fastened to the mast above listening to the sirens below. The sirens of Pisces/Aquarius are in our world today--the voice of materialism trying to keep its hold on us. They are trying to make us crash. The sirens say “You have made the radical socialist Obama your god.” “Your true god is Jesus the capitalist.“ “No one following Jesus wanted social justice and the redistribution of wealth like Obama.” The sirens speak of the materialistic “greed is good” when the time for symbiotic relationships at hand. The constellation Andromeda is also Prometheus chained to a rock (Square of Pegasus) one of the birds eating his liver is Cygnus, the first decanate of Aquarius. The idea is to reverse engineer the bardic science. Do you remember Isis turning into a hummingbird from Plutarch’s story of Isis, Osiris and Set? Cygnus is the Hummingbird and the Djed Pillar is the tree that grew up through the coffin of Osiris. Cygnus was also a plane on 9-11, Pegasus was the tower, Andromeda was a person falling off the tower, the path of the solar “Tod Beamer” was Eridanus. Beamer's flight ended at the circle of south polar precession--at the Benben stone.
